Shuffle moods | Report broken moods

What is Wild Mood Swings?

It's a simple game and online web experience: you select a mood from the pull-down list, click on 'take me away' and it'll whisk you away to an appropriate site. I call the concept 'mood surfing'. Sites might reinforce, reflect or reverse your mood. How do you want to feel today?

Each time you reload the page or click the shuffle moods link, the moods are sorted into a different order, adding an additional element of serendipity.

What do I need to work it?

Some of the links will take you to sites that require the Flash plug-in or Chrome browser. Most internet users won't experience any problems using the sites linked to here, but not all experiences will work on the iPad or other mobile devices.

If it's not working, it's possible you have a pop-up blocker installed that is stopping Wild Mood Swings from opening your destination site in a new window.

Why was it developed?

Well, I think it's a cool idea and you've got to make time for cool ideas once in a while.

When was it launched?

The original version was hosted at the first version of my personal site in 1998. The redesigned and revamped site launched Friday 14 February 2003. The site came back home to my main website at www.sean.co.uk in February 2015. New moods are regularly added in.

Why aren't there more moods?

In the interests of user experience and quality, this is a curated web experience with sites and moods hand-picked by one person. I'm more interested in great experiences than trying to cater for every possible query. If there's a mood you feel is missing, though, or if you have a suggestion for a great site that should be included here (preferably not your own), drop me a line!

Why is it so... green?

Great, isn't it! Oh, okay. Please y'self.

What else can I do here?

Well, if you found my website through Wild Mood Swings, you could also check out my other games, my world travel photography gallery (where every photo has a sliding puzzle), and my synth music.

Grab a free souvenir too, such as a chapter from one of my books.

There's lots more interesting stuff here too...

Can I link to Wild Mood Swings?

Yes, please do link to this web page and share it on your social networks.

Disclaimer

By using this site, you accept that you use it at your own risk. Wild Mood Swings works by taking you to other websites, outside my control. I review the pages linked to (obviously), but don't have time to follow all the links from that page. Occasionally, pages change after I review them so do notify me if you're worried about anything you see: roughly speaking, links should be suitable for young adults. I reserve the right to add, remove and amend all links at any time.
