- Eskimo Disco's live set includes a reinvention of The Final Countdown by Europe. Their 80s influences shine through on debut synthpop single 7-11, available now at iTunes. It's great, inuit?
- MJ Hibbett and the Validators are best known online for their song 'Hey Hey 16k', celebrating the best of 8 bit computing with wit and a catchy chorus. Here you can enjoy 'Programming is a Poetry for our Time', taken from the album 'This is not a library'.
- 'Hang On Every Word' by Jesus Jones is an unreleased out-take from the sessions for the band's third album Perverse, one of my favourite albums ever. Visit the website for more rarities and details of all five studio albums and the greatest hits compilation.
- Piano-driven rock band The Liars Club include Nirvana and Burt Bacharach among their influences. Visit the website where the MP3s include this track 'Robotic Wife' and their cover of 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head'.
- The Lovers is fronted by Tom Hingley, former Inspiral Carpets singer, and features Steve Hanley (bass) and Paul Hanley (drums) from The Fall. This is a demo of 'Big Mistake', taken from the band's debut album 'Abba are the enemy'. Visit the site for more music, and try to catch the band live or one of Tom's solo gigs - you won't regret it!
- After several years of recording as Colin Vearncombe, Black is back. 'Teenage Wall' is taken from 'Between Two Churches, the first Black album since 1993. Black is best known for breakthrough 80s singles 'Wonderful Life' and 'Sweetest Smile'.

- Something a bit bluesy now with Evil Twin by Eamon Alger's Flying Dreams.
- The Neurons have described their music as 'world jazz hop'. Mixing world music influences with dance rhythms, 'Pixelated Irish Groove' is taken from the album 'Dance'.
