How is the portal/virtual newspaper set up?
The
portal screen is designed to be set up as your browser's default page, so that you can find what you need quickly as soon as you log on to the internet. It also means you can jump straight there by pressing the 'Home' button on your browser. The page gives you a fast search engine, news and essential links for work and play in the UK.
To set the portal up as your default page, first find out which browser name (Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) and which version you are using. This will usually come up in the middle of the screen when the browser starts, but you can also usually find it by choosing Help then About from the menus.
