Jim Morrison's tomb photos
In 1996, I visited Pere Lachaise Cemetry in Paris, where The Doors' singer-songwriter Jim Morrison rests. It was bizarre how much of a tourist attraction his tomb has become. On the paths leading to it, there are song lyrics and tributes scrawled on the pavement, along with directions to Jim's tomb. The tomb itself was cordoned off and under police watch. There was quite a crowd, people of all ages. After photographing the tomb, I swung around and grabbed a photo of the people behind me.
