About this photo

The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel is a strange tourist attraction in Shanghai. As you travel under the river from one side to the other, there are lights around the tunnel surface in various colours, pieces of video wall and even inflatable puppets between the two lines of rails. There's an audio track as well that describes the various themed light shows you travel through. It's totally kitsch, and strange enough to be worth taking the ride. I took this photo by fixing my camera on a pocket tripod inside the train, pointing it out of the window and shooting a long exposure. I took a few, and some of the others gave some nice surreal effects, but this one is the best illustration of what it really looks like.
