About this photo
This photo shows the top of the Galata Tower in Istanbul, seen from the bottom. It was built in 1348, when it was the tallest building in Istanbul. It is nine storeys tall (about 67m). When I was in the area I was lucky with the weather: this landscape format photo has clear blue skies with the faintest wisp of cloud.
