This monument to the women of World War II in Whitehall, London, is a relatively new addition to London's monuments. It was unveiled in 2005 by Queen Elizabeth II. It shows uniforms hanging up, representing the different roles that women took on during the war. The typography on the monument is similar to that used on ration books during the war. I took this photo in April 2010.
