On 9th November 2009, it was the 20th anniversary of the falling of the Berlin Wall. To celebrate, Berlin held a "20 Jahre Mauerfall" festival which included large decorated dominoes lined up across the city. For the finale of the festival, the dominoes were toppled, a symbolic recreation of the falling of the Berlin Wall itself. The dominoes were decorated with different designs, most of them interpreting the idea of freedom and the falling of the Berlin Wall. This photo shows the designs on three of the dominoes.
