Photo of the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Jin Mao Tower
|4 of 78|
The Shanghai World Financial Center in the Pudong area of Shanghai is 101 storeys high and was China's tallest building at the time of our visit. The gap at the top makes it look like a bottle opener. It was overshadowed by the Shanghai Tower (not pictured), which was under construction and set to be China's new tallest building on completion. The Jin Mao Tower (right) is 88 storeys high and was previously the tallest building in China. It houses the Hyatt hotel among other businesses.
