Photo of the Bund, Shanghai in China

The Bund was the centre of colonial Shanghai. The buildings on the right of this picture date back to the early 1900s and were the biggest banks and hotels at that time. On the left is the Huangpu River. This photo of The Bund was taken from the roof cafe of the Fairmont Peace Hotel. The cafe was closed because it was too windy, but the staff were kind enough to allow us out to take some photos. We also had a chance to see a tea dance on the ground floor of this hotel.
