Photo of Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia in Italy

The historic centre of Sienna, the Piazza del Campo, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can see the Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia, which is on one side of the Piazza del Campo. The tower was the tallest structure in Italy when it was built between 1325 and 1344. The Palazzo Pubblico is the town hall and is an example of Italian medieval architecture. Sienna (also spelled Siena sometimes) is in Tuscany.
