The Strawberry Fields memorial in New York's Central Park is a tribute to Beatle and solo singer/songwriter John Lennon. Across the middle of it is the title of one of his most famous peace songs: Imagine. Visitors often leave coins, flowers, letters and poems. One of the notes here on the day I visited read simply: "thank you".
