The Cathedral of Saint Mary in San Francisco was built in the late 60s and opened in 1971. It was designed by local architects John Michael Lee, Paul A Ryan and Angus McSweeney, together with Pier Luigi Nervi and Pietro Belluschi. The local chapter of the American Institute of Architects named it one of San Francisco's top 25 buildings in 2007.
