The Sagrada Familia has been under construction since 1882 and work is ongoing. I've visited it twice and it was remarkable to see how much it had come on in the two years between my visits, particularly inside. The plans are for more towers to be erected that have not yet begun construction. In 2010, it was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI as a church (not a cathedral).
