Photo of the Wales Millennium Centre in Wales

The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay is home to the Welsh National Opera. The surface here is steel, treated with copper oxide. The letters are formed from windows that are illuminated at night. On the right, you can see the English text "In these stones horizons sing". The Welsh lines by poet Gwyneth Lewis mean "Creating truth like glass from the furnace of inspiration".
