About this photo
This sculpture of a kangaroo stands outside the Supreme Court of Western Australia. There are several kangaroos that make up this piece, including one that is posed drinking out of a fountain, and three that look like they're skipping along. We only spent a night and a morning in Perth, but I picked this photo to represent my Australia gallery because the kangaroo is such a striking symbol of Australia. We did see a real one when we visited Simpson's Gap in the West MacDonnell ranges, near Alice Springs. There's a photo of that in this gallery too.
