About this photo
The main library at Harvard University, the Widener Library. It was snowing when I was there, and this photo was taken early in the morning. The library has over 50 miles of shelving, housing over three million volumes. The library was built as a memorial to Harry Widener, Harvard class of 1907, who died on the Titanic in 1912. It was funded by his mother, Eleanor Elkins Widener.
