Photo of a termite mound

As we drove along the Stuart Highway, we saw lots of termite mounds at the side of the road. This was probably the biggest, about 12 feet (3.65m) tall. We set up a tripod to take pictures of us standing beside this one together. It's incredible to think that such tiny animals are able to make something so much larger than they are. In relative terms, it's a bigger achievement than our greatest cathedrals and skyscrapers.
