On 8 June 2013, The Big IF Rally took place in Hyde Park, London. The rally called on the G8 leaders to take action to tackle hunger worldwide. I was a volunteer marshall at an art installation there, where members of the public were invited to plant paper windmills in the grass. From above, the pattern showed hands holding a bowl of rice. I zoomed in to take this photo. Each windmill has eight petals, and each petal represented a child lost to malnutrition in a year. The installation was both beautiful, and horrific.
