Photo of dancing puppets at the Musee Mechanique

The Musee Mechanique in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, has a huge collection of coin-operated amusements. It includes dancing puppets like those shown, mechanical instruments, pinball machines and popular arcade games of the 1970s and 1980s. It's free to go in, and you pay to play on whichever machines take your fancy. I remember coin-operated dance machines similar to this one (and one in particular where ghosts appear in a room) still being in arcades in the 1980s when I was a child.
