I've created a new
interactive map for exploring my travel photographs. For many of them, you can zoom in to see a map and satellite image of the area where they were taken. The interactive map includes many otherwise unpublished photographs.
When I get time, I'll raid more old photos to put some more landmarks and cities on the map. I'll also add photographs of new places as I visit them.
This was created using the Google maps API, and I've included some pointers to resources I found helpful when building it. If you know a bit of Javascript you won't find it difficult to create a simple Google maps applications like this, although it can be time-consuming working out the coordinates.
Anyway, enjoy the map. And let me know if you've got any feedback.
